Each school can enter 1 or 2 teams. 

3 students per team.

1 team leader per team (who can act as a juror).

Born in 2006 or later
Competitors must be aged 16 or under for the entire year of the tournament

Each team will compete in team introductions on Friday, 2 Science Fights on Saturday and 1 Science Fight on Sunday. 

3 teams will also compete in the Grand Final on Sunday.

6 participants will be selected to represent New Zealand in the 2022 IYNT in Almaty, Kazakhstan (most likely online)
